　　People have different impressions of Confucius: a wise elder who loves to preach wisdom, a patient teacher, a gentleman cultivating hismoral characters, and so on. This venerable sage, who has been renowned for over two thousand years, has also been warmly welcomed overseas! How did Confucius enter the vision of westerners? What impacts have Confucianism had on western society? Let's look forward to it in the Confucius Research Institute!

　　还记得你学过的第一句“子曰”是什么吗？从个人品格到学识修养，从为人处世到治国理政，早在2500多年前，中国古代伟大的思想家孔子就把道理一条一条告诉给了世人，经过数千年的验证，至今仍散发着耀眼的光辉。

　　Do you still remember the first "Confucius Say" you’ve learned? From personal character to academic cultivation, and from social interaction to governance, more than 2500 years ago, the great ancient Chinese thinker Confucius had imparted suchprinciples to the world.And after thousands of years of verification, they still remain magnificent.

　　现在，我们来到了“世界的孔子”展区。展区从志道据德、仁者爱人、修己安人、为政以德、天下大同、济古维来六个部分系统介绍了孔子博大精深的思想。在这里，我们也可以看到儒学在世界的传播路线。从汉代开始，孔子思想便跨出国门，传入朝鲜半岛、日本和越南。明代又开始传入欧洲以及印度尼西亚、新加坡、马来西亚、菲律宾等南洋诸国。

　　Now, we are in the exhibition area titled "Confucius of the World." It systematically introduces the profound thoughts of Confucius in six perspectives: adherence to principles and moral values, benevolence and love for others, self-cultivation and societal harmony, governance based on morality, the universal community, and carrying forward the tradition of antiquity into the present. Here, we can also trace the dissemination of Confucianism around the world. Starting from the Han Dynasty, the thoughts of Confucius crossed national boundaries and spread to the Korean Peninsula, Japan, and Vietnam. During the Ming Dynasty, it further reached Europe and the Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

　　17世纪开始，儒家文化也开始引起欧洲学者的兴趣。一些西方学者翻译和研究了儒家经典，将其引入西方学术界。儒家思想的一些核心概念，如仁爱、礼仪、忠诚和家庭伦理，被视为宝贵的道德观念和社会价值，对西方哲学、伦理学和社会科学都产生了深刻影响。

　　Since the 17th century, Confucian culture has sparked interest among European scholars. Some Western scholars have translated and studied Confucian classics, introducing them into the Western academic world. The core concepts of Confucianism, such as benevolence, etiquette, loyalty, and family ethics, are regarded as valuable moral concepts and social values, which have exerted profound influence on Western philosophy, ethics, and social sciences.

　　近年来，世界“孔子热”经久不衰，孔子是中国的，儒学是世界的。以孔子为代表的儒家思想文化将进一步走向世界，并为世界上越来越多的国家、人们所理解和接纳！

　　In recent years, the global "craze for Confucius" has remained unabated, signifying that while Confucius belongs to China, Confucianism is valuable worldwide. And Confucian thoughts and culture represented by Confucius will continue to spread worldwide and be understood and accepted by an increasing number of countries and people!
