BEIJING, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- The Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) announced Tuesday that Liu Shiyu will take the position of the bank's secretary of the Party committee.

　　The bank's meeting of directors had nominated Liu as the candidate for its executive director Monday, according to ABC's report released on the website of the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

　　Before the new post, Liu worked as vice governor of China's central bank since June 2006.
