Shandong Luneng's Zheng Zhi and Dalian Shide's Ji Mingyi have been selected as two of the three senior players who will power the Chinese Asian Games squad in Doha.
The Chinese Football Association released the list of 18 members on Sunday. Shandong Luneng's Cui Peng is tipped to be the third senior player and likely to link up with the team after participating in the AFC Youth Championship in India from October 29 to November 12.
Meanwhile, women's team coach Ma Liangxing has selected 20 players from the squad which won the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2006 in a 32-strong squad for a month-long training camp ahead of the Asian Games.
Seven youth players, who saw action in the FIFA U-20 Women's World Championship 2006 in Russia recently, also figure among the probables.
