Wang Zhaoyao, former deputy secretary of the Provincial Communist Party of China (CPC) Committee of east China's Anhui Province, went on trial in Jinan on Wednesday.
Wang is accused of taking bribes and taking advantage of his position to promote his wife and his wife's brothers to senior positions in local government departments.
The Jinan Intermediate People's Court started the trial at 8:30a.m. in the capital of Shandong Province.
The trial is continuing.
Wang, 62, once served as secretary of the Suxian and Fuyang prefectural CPC committees, and deputy governor of Anhui Provincial CPC Committee. |
