Teachers at a middle school in Liaocheng, Shandong, are allowed to ask for several days off if they feel depressed.
The policy was launched this semester after the school headmaster took a survey on campus and found that teachers are apt to lose their temper in class if they are in low spirits.
To relieve pressure on teachers and rediscover their passion for teaching, the headmaster decided that depressed teachers could have days off and their salaries would not be cut.
So far more than 30 teachers at the school have benefited from the policy. |
