A shop owner surnamed Sun in Jinan, Shandong province called the police one day last month when a boy came into his shop with 800 yuan ($117) to spend on popsicles.
The 5-year-old had taken the money to buy popsicles out of his father's wallet.
Sun sold the boy just two popsicles, but the minor big spender insisted on buying up his whole stock and refused to leave. Consequently Sun called police.
When police escorted the boy to his nearby home, his father said he had been playing cards with friends when he had given the boy permission to take money from his wallet, but had not expected him to take such a large amount. |
