BEIJING, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has decided to remove Huang Sheng, vice governor of the eastern Shandong province, from leadership position, a spokesman for the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee confirmed on Thursday.

　　The spokesperson said Huang was suspected of "severe violation of discipline," and procedures to remove him are under way.
