A university graduate from Qingdao, Shandong Province, failed to get a job after his prospective employer read the young man's blog, Bandao Metropolis News reported.

Hu applied for a salesman position of a foreign trade company in Shenzhen of Guangdong Province early this year and performed very well at a number of interviews.

However, the company's human resource department recently informed him that he would not get the job, as the stories on his blog showed that he lacked the "team spirit" required for the position.

Hu established his blog early last year, on which he posted stories about tourist sites he visited when he skipped lectures.
